holiday serve opportunities

The holidays are often a time of great need for families struggling to make ends meet. As a church, we have the opportunity to help bridge the gap for struggling families in our community and infuse some love and joy into their holiday season. Take a look at the options below, and consider how you, your family, or your Community Group might take advantage of one of these opportunities to share God’s love with our community...

Year-End Gift: Each year we ask all who call Twin Cities Church home to consider making a financial contribution as a way of expressing gratitude to God for His blessings throughout the year and to allow our church to either take on a new initiative or acquire new ministry tools. Please ask God to guide you to an amount He would have you generously give.

Senior Outreach Visitation: Visit with a senior in a local facility or plan to do something more with your Community Group. Call Marian Jewett at 273-3194.

Interfaith Food Ministry: Volunteer to distribute food, do food donation pick up, sort and package food, etc. Call Debbie Hofen at 713-8725.

Hospitality house: Help to prepare lunch or dinner for the homeless. Go to hospitalityhouseshelter.org and click on “volunteer” for application.

Anew Day Counseling Services: Volunteer to clean, bake cookies for the volunteer staff, or train to be a counselor. Call Anew Day at 470-9111.

Ideas: Rake leaves and needles, sweep sidewalks and driveways, clean gutters, help with a simple home maintenance/repair issue, do something kind that goes above and beyond, bake cookies or brownies (and include a nice note!), surprise a neighbor by dropping off some firewood or mowing their lawn, throw a BBQ or hold a block party.
