Camp Fire - How to help

Many of us have been asking how we can assist those who have been affected by the Camp fire. Although the Camp fire is now extinguished, we know that over 14,000 homes were leveled. This equates to more than 14,000 families losing almost everything.

Some of our wonderful TCC family have already been up to the area helping where they can. They came across an organization, the Oroville Hope Center, that is helping in powerful and tangible ways. As you can probably imagine, they are in constant need of volunteers to work at their Call Center, Sorting Center, and Distribution Center. Here’s the volunteer link (you choose day and shift):

In addition to volunteers, they are asking for the following:

  • New pillows and sleeping bags
  • New or like new tents, canopies, inflatable mattresses
  • Flashlights and batteries
  • New or gently used men’s pants
  • New or gently used rain boots for all genders and sizes
  • New underwear of all sizes

For those who want to help but are unable to get to Oroville, TCC will be accepting donations here at the church during normal office hours (M-Th 9am - 5pm, Fri 9am - 1pm), and this Sunday from 8am - 1pm. Until we hear of additional needs, only donations on the list will be accepted.

Please look at the links below as they are filled with much more information and other great ways to help.
