Sunday will be an EPIC day for our church family. We get to participate in the commissioning and installation of Eric Wayman as our new Lead Pastor. I’m so thrilled to be able to share in this day that we’ve been praying so much about. Eric and his family have now moved all their belongings to Nevada County and are settling into the home God has blessed them to lease.
Will you pray for Sunday and our focus on Transition: New Season. Same Mission? We are asking God to use this time in the life of our church to give us spiritual momentum as we continue to live out our mission to engage together to lead as many people as possible into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. If you missed last Sunday, let me encourage you to go online and watch or listen as Pastor Mark lays out the DNA of our church and how Twin Cities has always been about the Great Commandment and the Great Commission of Jesus. We can trust that mission to stay the same as we go forward with the goal of impacting our world for Jesus.
I’ve been able to look back through documents, pictures, and memorabilia of life over the past few weeks, and I want to let you know that I’ve had such joy in being your Lead Pastor now for nearly 32 years. What a thrill it was to look at pictures of moments we shared together of lives being impacted by the Gospel of Jesus as we did life together. I am in awe of what God has accomplished in us and through us as we’ve followed Jesus.
Thank you for the privilege you gave me of being your pastor. Thank you for the faithful service, sacrificial giving, abundant grace, passionate worship, meaningful moments, and loving support you’ve so freely displayed. I love you with all I am. You will be in my prayers as we all walk forward into the future God planned for us before the creation of the world.
Please continue to pray for Pastor Eric, Cathy, Ethan, Grayson, and Carol (Cathy’s mom) as they make Nevada County home.
