Yearning for Home + Sunday Morning Resources

This wild ride and crazy classroom continues. We’re still not certain of my return home, but it looks like it will be today, if the bloodwork (my bilirubin count) makes the hepatology team happy! The hospital is being vigilant and careful as they approach my discharge, and I am grateful.

And YET, my feelings have been all over the map as I have waited and yearned to come home. Never would I have imagined this stay in the hospital to be THIS LONG (today is 10 days).

Surgery was major and the recovery will be as well. Please pray for Jehovah Rapha’s supernatural, complete healing. I love you and I’m so grateful for your support, your care, your cards, and your love.

BABES WHO BRUNCH is an inspiring opportunity for the young women in our church to make friends, grow spiritually, and find encouragement from other women. The next gathering is Saturday, November 20, at 11:00am-12:30pm in the church lobby. It’s potluck-style so bring a brunch dish to share. Go to the website to register.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT Christmas edition is Friday, December 3, 6:30-8:30pm at the church. Gather with the women of our church and the friends they invite for an evening of connection and reflection. Begin your Christmas by gathering to reflect on the true meaning behind all we celebrate. Check it out on the website and reserve space for you and an invited friend.

Our next BAPTISM will be December 12. Let me encourage you if you’ve never been baptized, PLEASE consider following the example set by Jesus when He allowed Himself to be baptized in the Jordan River. This is the first step He took to signify the beginning of His mission to seek and save the world. If you want to express your faith in Jesus through baptism, send an email to Mare, and attend the class Sunday, November 28 or December 5 at 9:00am. She will help you know everything you need.

THIS SUNDAY we will wrap up our RADIATE LOVE series based upon the New Testament book of 1 John. John writes to correct error that had seeped into some of the second-generation church teachers in the region of Ephesus. He writes to encourage the Followers of Jesus in that region to exemplify the words of Jesus when He said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are My disciples if you love one another.”

Sunday’s message is about Living With Confidence in God, in His Spirit and His salvation. God’s love is what gives me confidence. It gives me relationship with Him, which is what allows me to be CONFIDENT in life. Ryan Reed from Lakeside Church in Folsom will be our guest speaker this week. Please pray for him as he gets to deliver the wonderful truth of this section of 1 John. If you want to read ahead, read 1 John 5:13-21.

Resting in the Father’s Love + An Opportunity to Serve

Over the last couple of weekends, we have been exploring the good news that, in Christ, God has broken down every dividing wall to create one united family. Though we may come from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, God weaves us together into a beautiful mosaic — His Church. Yet, many of us struggle to believe that we truly belong. We carry doubts about our worthiness, shaped by our past, our insecurities, and even our earthly relationships. This week, we’ll explore Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:14-21, where he prays that we might not only know, but rest in the overwhelming love of our Heavenly Father. By the way, you don’t have to go halfway around the world to make a difference. Next Thursday, a group from TCC will be heading down to Convoy of Hope’s facility in Sacramento to help pack up a shipment of supplies to help those impacted by the fires in SoCal. This Sunday, we’ll kick off a foundational new message series walking through Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. Together, we’ll explore what it means to live In Christ , finding our identity, purpose, and blessings through Him. Ephesians reminds us that our worth isn’t found in what we do or what’s been done to us, but in who we are as redeemed, chosen, and beloved people of God. It’s an invitation to step off the hamster wheel of performance and rest in the grace and love found only in Him. Let’s Celebrate God’s Faithfulness + Sunday Morning Resources

What a joy it was to celebrate Christmas Eve with so many of you this week! From the glow of candlelight to the sound of our church family worshipping the Prince of Peace, it was a beautiful reminder of the hope and peace we have in Jesus. Christmas might be over, but the celebration isn’t. This Sunday, we’ll continue the celebration with our annual Remember and Celebrate service. Together, we’ll look back on the past year and reflect on God’s incredible faithfulness in our lives and in our church. It’s a time to give thanks, share stories of His goodness, and renew our hope for the year ahead. We’ll also celebrate communion together, remembering the gift of grace that binds us together as a family of faith. With the start of a New Year just a few days away, I also want to invite you on a journey through God’s word.
