We take the next steps in our walk toward unity this Sunday! Your weekly comments are evidence that this series is speaking to us in ways that leave us full of hope and thrilled about God’s Word and how it speaks to the issues we face today. We’ve learned so much, and yet it’s not just about learning, it’s about becoming ONE. Our ONE series is right out of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus where he reminds us to hold on to our identity in Jesus and the things that unite us and make us one. He wants us to walk in unity, and when we do we become a force of harmony and a witness for Jesus to all to whom we meet.
This Sunday we get to look at what it means to have ONE LORD. This is the hinge upon which our unity hangs. If we don’t know Jesus as Lord, we aren’t in His family, and if we’re not in His family, we won’t walk in unity. I am praying for you as you contemplate your weekend, that you will make it a priority to gather with God’s people as we focus on our unity.
We hosted the Nevada County Ministerial Association here this past Wednesday, and it was such a thrill to know that we are part of the larger CHURCH. One of the pastors who attended knew we were in a series on unity and commented on how this luncheon was an example of being one with the other churches and Christian non-profits from our community. You are part of that as a regular participant at Twin Cities Church. I pray you will be in church this Sunday as we focus on how to be ONE as we walk in unity.
