Let me begin by saying thank you to all of you who helped with the Fall Family Festival. On Tuesday night over 2,000 of our neighbors – most of which were young families – descended on our church campus. They were met with a warm, fun, and family-friendly event that radiated the love of Jesus on an otherwise dark night. It was a beautiful expression of love for our community, and it couldn’t have happened without your help. Thank you for helping pull off this massive undertaking.
We are in the final two months of the year, and while the holidays are a favorite time for many, it can be a painful season for those who have lost loved ones. Thankfully, you don’t have to navigate the grief alone. This Sunday from 12:30-2:30pm, we have the first of two “Surviving the Holidays” GriefShare gatherings. If you or someone you know is struggling in this season, please don’t hesitate to participate. Check out our website for more info or to get registered.
This weekend, we kick off our November series, called At the End of My Rope. Through this series, we will look at four biblical stories of people who hit the end of their rope and had nowhere to turn but to Jesus. What they found, and we will discover, is that when Jesus is all we have, that’s when we realize He’s all we need. I can’t wait for Sunday, which just so happens to be when daylight saving time ends, which means you get an extra hour of sleep!
Here are some resources to get you ready for the weekend:
I’m grateful to be on this adventure called following Jesus with you.
